I think for my career the website will be most useful. I know how to make my own website and when I become an optometrist I will be able to update my very own website related to my clinic.
I will definitely be using Photoshop to mess around for fun and for personal projects.

Capstone Presentation Reflection

 Capstone actually went really well. It ended up being so much easier than everyone said it was going to be. I didn't expect it to be this easy. I was so nervous in the morning and right before the my presentation. I was afraid that when the judges came I was going to forget everything! But that didn't happen. One thing I would do differently is in the beginning of my presentation, I should of took a deep breath and then started my presentation so I could have been more relax because in the beginning I was talking alittle too fast.

My video will support my capstone by making the general audience aware of my issue on visual health. 

I am currently unsure what type of video I will be making. If i make a commercial then I will discuss the app that I will build. If i make a PSA I will have some facts and statistics for the general public. I still need to think about more video ideas for my project.

The photoshop effect does set some unrealistic standards for the teens and the general public. 

A lot of girls nowadays try to get the perfect body by not eating and doing harm to the body, but little do they know that the pictures they see in magazines are all being edited in photoshop. The guy in the video even said that 99.5% of the time they edit all the pictures before they go in to the magazine.

Imagination and discovery can lead into many new scientific findings. In this video he used props such as the wheel. 

The second video I watched.. confused me. "the duck says quack, and the chicken says cluck" 

I didn't understand it. It kind of made me mad. TED talks are so good. Why make fun of them? 

Feb.21- Look & Feel Issues

A.) My presentation will be serious.

B.)The colors I will be using will be blue, grey and white. I think I will be using the default font. I will use pictures of eye check-up machines and the eye chart.

C.) My material is more of an awareness. It is research-based.

D.)By stating facts from research and studies.

E.)I will be propose an idea of polarized contact lenses.

That GAP video was really inspirational and motivational. The video was about why it takes so long to reach the level you want to achieve and being creative. It also works with many things in life. Do work and you will choose the gap.

a.) My capstone research topic is about eye health in the field of optometry. The question I will be researching is, what is the proper protection for your eyes to prevent eye injuries in the future? Are there special types of sunglasses you should wear?


b.) This topic is important because the sun's ultraviolet rays can be really harmful and can cause serious eye injuries in the future.

c.) This capstone project fits with my career because I want to pursue optometry.

d.) My project gives back by informing teens and athletes the harms of ultraviolet rays.

e.) My capstone project will be a great learning experience and will help community building as well teaching.

Divya's Yearbook Good Critic-

I really like the purple and white with the gray design. It looks like a mix of modern with vintage which I really like! Good job. I also like the font that you chose!






Divya's Yearbook Bad Critic-

If she sat next to Nader it would be perfect. However, it needs some more work to it. Seems plain, the left side of the cover seems too dark, and adding some brightness to it could make it a bit more appealing and match with the color scheme of the white on the right side. Once improved, I would definitely want to see this cover on the background of the RCHS yearbook of 2013-2014.

Jan.8- Why did you choose your historic photo?

The reason I chose my historic photo was because of the spacing between the girls position and the lighting. 

A challenge I had was when I was trying to hue my dress to a gold-yellow color to match the other girls in the historic photo. 

After learning how to mask myself in the photo it became really easy to crop and fringe myself into the historic photo.

The era of vintage I feel drawn to is the 1950.
